Privacy & how analysis works

Free tier: When you summarize, policy text is sent to PolicySnap’s secure backend, then to OpenAI for analysis. We use that only to generate your summary and enforce fair free limits — not to sell your data or build marketing profiles.

Your own key: Policy text goes from your browser to OpenAI using your key. PolicySnap does not receive or store that key.

On your device: Recent analyses and settings (including theme colors) are saved in Chrome storage on your computer — not in a PolicySnap account.
